Three times a year, we invite 3-4 finalists for our monthly grants to pitch their ideas to a live audience of trustees, friends, fans, and special guest judges from the neighborhood at Live Pitch events. This gives Pittsburghers a chance to hear about some of the amazing proposals we receive every month and allows applicants to share their ideas with the wider community, potentially making connections with attendees that could propel their ideas forward. That month’s grant winner is then chosen and announced at the event!

Previous pitch events have been held in the North Side, Braddock, Allentown, and the Strip District. Mark your calendars now for our 2017 Pitch Parties (locations to be determined) and associated application deadlines:

• March 20 (deadline Mar. 1)
• June 19 (deadline June 1)
• October 16 (deadline Oct. 1)

If you want to pitch your idea for a chance to win $1000 at one of these events, submit your proposal by the 1st of the month in which it is being held and mark your calendar for that month’s Pitch Party in case you are selected as a finalist. Pitch contestants will be contacted at least a week before the event.
