If you’re seeking to make an impact but traditional grant streams aren’t always an option, then join us on October 27th and come learn about some of the non-traditional funding sources available in our community. We want to connect you with the people who can help make your ideas happen.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for some light refreshments and beverages. Awesome Pittsburgh grant winner, Teetotal Initiative will be on hand with a highlight drink! Panel discussion begins at 7:00 p.m. after the Awesome Pittsburgh monthly grant winner is announced!

Representatives from local funding sources will participate in a facilitated Q&A panel to help you figure out which option could be the best fit for your project.  There will also be time to network with other attendees working on awesome projects, and to ask the panelists project-specific questions.

Awesome Pittsburgh — what could be cooler than folks getting together and working to increase the amount of awesome in the ‘Burgh?  That’s exactly what this group does! Each month Awesome Pittsburgh awards a $1,000 micro-grant for an interesting, impactful and truly awesome idea!

Projects that make a difference in Pittsburgh, find their way to New Sun Rising. Known for their commitment to building vibrant communities, New Sun Rising provides strategic programs, vital services, and accessible funding to power civic innovation from idea to impact.

Opportunity Fund awards grants from small to midsize arts organizations, and organizations and initiatives that advance social and economic justice. The majority of their grants are awarded to projects that benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community.

United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania mobilizes the caring power of community in Allegheny, Butler, Westmoreland, Fayette and Armstrong counties. In fact, United Way of SWPA has a competitive proposal and grant-making process that makes it possible for them to invest in a larger and more diverse group of nonprofits throughout our five-county geographic region. They’ll be on hand to help you learn about application deadlines, eligibility requirements and how to navigate the funding process.
