If you want to learn more about the Awesome Foundation before you apply, here are some things you can do to get up to speed:

  • Watch this blog or follow us on Twitter for information. We’ll announce award winners and proposal deadlines here and via Twitter each month.
  • Check out what other chapters are up to.  The Awesome Foundation has funded a wide variety of projects over the past couple of years. Projects range across a wide spectrum, from public artwork to mobile applications to scientific experiments. You learn more about the grantees and their projects at the Awesome Foundation blog.
  • Reach out to us. Contact us via email to tell us about yourself or ask any questions about Awesome Pittsburgh. We ultimately want Awesome Pittsburghto evolve into a community of people with diverse interests who also share a passion for doing great things in this amazing city, so the more connections that emerge from this effort, the better.

Good afternoon! I read about your efforts in The Chronicle of Philanthropy and would like to know what vendor you use for your tiny checks. I found the idea Awesome! Thank you very much,

Hey Rebekah… We made the checks ourselves. I’d be glad to help with the process, and depending on how many you needed, we may be able to help with production as well.

Shoot me some details and we’ll talk!

      Awesomely yours,
      - Andy Coleman
